I believe everything that happens in life, does so for a reason. Each experience builds you as person, and you must be resilient and adaptable if you want to survive and thrive.

Having been exposed to the family business in India, I learnt the importance of values and ethics early on. My father had a relentless focus on providing excellent customer service and treating every customer with humility.

I was fortunate to be given a good grounding in those skills and much more.

As time passed, I realised that I needed to spread my wings and pursue my dream of obtaining professional qualifications in the UK. It was my sister’s kindness and support that enabled me to fulfil this ambition.

DETERMINATION & PASSION

The experience helped me carve an identity for myself, improved me as a person and helped me appreciate the value of what was important. The academic qualifications I achieved were valuable, but the relationships built, and lessons learnt were priceless.

I gained vast experience working for several financial institutions, in a variety of roles, within the City of London. It was during this time that I developed a keen interest in understanding more about health conditions and built up my knowledge within this area through working with underwriters.

The diverse exposure and experience I accumulated gave me confidence in taking my first step in cofounding a company in 2011. However, my desire to offer an even more personalised service and apply the business principles and ethics that I stand for is why I set up Aegis Life Financial Services in 2018.

I have made it my mission to help my clients ensure they have the right policies that protect themselves and their loved ones, so they can spend more time doing the things that really bring joy to their business and their lives in general.

NISHMA KOTHARI

I believe in a balanced approach to life with equal importance and emphasis on maintaining personal and professional relationships. My ethos is to strive for perfection in everything I focus on whether that is dealing with clients or baking cakes!

Having practised law for several years specialising in commercial property, I have dealt with varied clientele and achieved results through confident communication and strong attention to detail.

I then took a career break to focus on raising my children and supporting their development. This phase in my life has given me exposure to wide variety of perspectives shaping my outlook and continued quest for work / life balance. I am now relishing the challenge of managing two teenagers whilst restarting my working career in a completely different industry.

At Aegis, I support the team in ensuring the clients’ instructions are fulfilled. My approach is professional, straight forward and focused on customer satisfaction whilst displaying a high degree of integrity and a strong work ethic. Outside of work, I also have a passion for volunteering, watching theatrical plays and cooking different cuisines.

PRIYA NAGPAL

I believe in providing a service where we aren’t seen as just a supplier, but as a partner and friend that has the best interests of the clients we serve and support.

In a 15 year career to date I’ve accumulated a vast amount of experience working in a range of operational and client facing roles for a combination of large corporate and boutique financial services firms.

I am a meticulous planner and like to ensure everything is organised and managed. I supported Yogesh in setting the business up in 2018 and since have been responsible for the day to day operations and ensuring the back office activities run effectively so we can focus our efforts on delivering for our customers. Yogesh and I are parents to two adorable kids who are growing up quickly and keeping us on our toes!

I approach everything with a can do attitude and a smile.
